Convening the sports head impact research community to aid conversation, collaboration and progress
First held in November 2016, the Annual Drake Sports Head Impact Research Symposium (previously the UK Sports Concussion Research Symposium) is co-organised between The Drake Foundation, Rugby Football Union, Football Association, England and Wales Cricket Board and the British Horseracing Authority.
The Symposium aims to provide a platform to bring together the UK sports head impact research community, building the foundation for better collaborations and helping to accelerate meaningful developments and discovery in this fast-changing field.
The next Symposium was due to take place at Wembley Stadium (London) on 7 December 2021. It was postponed due to COVID and is now scheduled to take place at Wembley on 26 April 2022. It will include research showcases and discussions spanning topics including long-term risk, new technologies, diagnostic and clinical tools, and policy and progress in sport. We'll hear from a wealth of researchers, as well as updates from sport's governing bodies, covering ongoing and upcoming research projects.
